What is the rental fee for the venue and what does that include?

What is your capacity?

Our pricing includes up to 200 guests, including the wedding party.

What is your alcohol policy?

In an effort to allow you a little more freedom, Southern Springs does not have a liquor license. allowing you the choice of whether or not to get a bartender, how you purchase the alcohol, and allowing you to take the unconsumed alcohol with you after the reception. All alcohol must be free of charge to your guests or BYOB, there can be no alcohol sales.

Can we use the day before rental for a rehearsal dinner?

No, the venue will be fully set up for your wedding the day before, and therefore won’t have the space required to also hold a rehearsal dinner. Keeping it clean and free of guests preserves your vision from set up, to post ceremony reception.

How do I reserve a date?

To reserve a date, email us at southernspringsevents@gmail.com, saying you are ready to book XYZ date. if it is still available, we suggest stating you are ready to book your preferred date, then include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Dates are reserved on a first requested basis. Whomever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be first in line. requested dates will be held for no more than 2 weeks while deposit is delivered and rental agreement is signed.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

We partner with the Hampton Inn & Suites, and the Laquinta in Hopkinsville, to get you a better rate for you guests, those are roughly 20-25 minute drive to the venue. also, Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake are teeming with vacation rentals less than 20 miles away.

Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?

We are dog (animal) friendly, with some specific stipulations. Animals are allowed (only with pre-approval) at the outdoor ceremony locations and during pictures. Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. They also need to be included on your event policy. Additionally Animals must be on a leash or contained and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.

How will the tables, chairs, etc. be arranged for my sized event? 

You will receive a floor plan of our reception barn 45 days before your wedding to choose your layout.

We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?

access prior to and after the event can be arranged with Southern Springs to be sure the gates are open and staff is available.

What is the event clean-up process?

Our staff will handle all standard clean up and trash removal throughout and following the wedding reception. You are responsible for removing your decor, floral, and food from the facility.

When are payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?

When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require a non- refundable deposit to be paid. if the date is over a year away it is $1000, 10 months and 5 Months prior to the event an additional $1500 will be due at those times. If your date is under a year away, $2500 will be due to secure the day. The final installment will be required 30 days prior to the event along with any add on services. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule. Full payment is due by the specified due date. We also require a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.

Is your barn a good space for a winter wedding or cold weather event?

Yes, it is. We have radiant heated floors in our barn to keep all your guests warm and comfortable while enjoying your event,

What if my wedding date is under a year out?

For weddings with less than a year before the date, we ask for a non-refundable reservation fee of $2500 down with a signed contract , and for the wedding to be paid in full before 30 days.

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

We ask that you schedule a tour, so as not to interfere with previous bookings. You can do so here.

How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?

100 vehicles.

Do you have WiFi?

We do not, though there is cell reception.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

You will have access to the venue for your 15 hour rental period from 9am to Midnight, 4 hours the day before is also available to rent for a fee.

Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"

A coordinator is not included in the rental price, however you are more than welcome to hire through us, or find your own to ensure your day goes smoothly.

Are candles allowed?

Yes, candles are allowed as long as the flame is completely contained a minimum of an inch under the glass. Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons unless battery operated.

How far in advance do you need our final headcount?

Head count is due at the time of final payment. 30 days from your reserved day.

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?

Only low tack tape is permitted. no penetrating staples, nails, or other items are allowed. The beams are very tall, for this reason, we do not allow for anything to be hung from the beams. We hope that you will find them beautiful without any extra work!
